We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of a growing manufacturing company. This role will oversee financial reporting, month-end close, cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. The Controller will serve as a strategic business partner to leadership while ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting functions, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Oversee physical inventory counts and inventory controls.
- Coordinate annual audits and maintain strong internal controls.
- Partner with operations leadership to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Manage and develop accounting staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 3+ years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager role.
- Manufacturing experience required.
- Strong cost accounting and inventory accounting background.
- Extensive experience with ERP systems
- CPA (+)
- Advanced Excel skills.
